Central Church

I have been quite lucky in finding a faith community with in Edinburgh. Central Church has opened their doors and welcomed me with open arms. Each week they have several services throughout Sunday; a sorter more reflective service, then one geared for families, and finally one later in the day with more students. At least once a month we also have an All Out Sunday where members of the church gather in groups around Edinburgh instead of at the church hall.

There are several groups that people can go with on All out weekends. I have found several groups with in Central that I enjoy: All Nations and Soul Food. All Nations brings together our international population in Central. We will usually meet at a member’s home and spend the morning in devotions then the afternoon sharing a potluck style meal. Soul Food is run a bit differently since it host members of the community each week for a home cooked meal. Members of the church will participate several different ways with in the meal including cooking, welcoming guest, and talking with those who come. I have gotten to talk to so many interesting people since joining, I can't wait to see how my faith and sense of community grow within central.
